1. VSD 4.0.1 Release Notes

Visual Statistics Display (VSD) version 4.0.1 is a new version of the VSD product. With v4.0.1, VSD now fully supports millisecond timestamps. Note however that millisecond timestamps are not yet generated by released server or GBS versions. In addition, this release includes several bug fixes.

These release notes include changes since VSD version 4.0.

This version of VSD, like previous versions, can read statmonitor files generated from:

  • All versions of GemStone/S 64 Bit through v3.2.4
  • All versions of 32-bit GemStone/S
  • All versions of GBS through v7.6.1

Changes in this Release

Per-second calculation of statistics values are incorrectly 1000x high

VSD includes options to display statistics values as per sample, without adjustment to the value, or as per-second, which calculates based on the sample rate. This per-second calculation was incorrect, so the values displayed were 1000x higher than the correct result. (#45011)

F12 is now a hot key for VSD

Now, when the F12 key is pressed while within any VSD window, focus goes to the VSD main window. This window will come to the front and be un-minimized as necessary.
